While Vinted, the clothing resale specialist, is experiencing rapid growth, new players are rushing into this second-hand market which weighs more than one billion euros in France.La Redoute has just created its platform La Reboucle, while Auchan has just forged a partnership with the specialist Patatam.From the second-hand boom to that of ethical fashion apps, Novethic is weaving the web of more sustainable fashion.
It's called ReTuna and it has become the symbol of the second hand trend.This Swedish shopping center is the first in the world devoted entirely to second-hand goods.The 5,000 m2 two-storey building houses around 15 shops and welcomes between 250,000 and 300,000 visitors each year.Furniture, clothing, flowers, articles sports… Everything is there.It is in this temple of occasion that Ikea wants to launch its first second-hand store.If the furniture sector has only just started, the trend is already inescapable in the fashion industry.
To meet consumers' expectations, all brands are now turning to the occasion, the most recent: La Redoute.On December 15, the northern brand launched La Reboucle.Consumers can buy or resell clothes or furniture directly on this new platform.They can choose to be paid in cash or to receive an e-gift card with an additional 25%."The challenge is to enable our customers, who are increasingly appetizing second-hand , to combine a CSR approach (Corporate Social Responsibility, editor's note) and purchasing power, ”explains Amélie Poisson, marketing, brand and customer relations director at La Redoute.
